Background

UNFPA Moldova Country Office is looking for a Team of National Consultants on cervical cancer prevention.

Purpose of consultancy: Development of the curricula for all screening services (Pap smear takers, cytology services and colposcopy services and pre-cancerous lesions treatment) based on approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and on international and European guidelines; as well as deliver trainings based on the developed curricula for PHC providers.

Scope of work:

  • Analyze the cervical screening process in the Republic of Moldova and connection between the screening services;
  • Analyze legislative regulation, existing protocols and guidelines on cervical cancer screening in the Republic of Moldova;
  • Participate in the working groups meetings on development of the Curricula on Cervical Cancer Screening (in close cooperation with the Ministry of Health);
  • Development of Curricula for all screening services (Pap smear takers, cytology services and colposcopy services and pre-cancerous lesions treatment);
  • Deliver trainings based on the developed curricula for PHC providers.

Required qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in general medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, public health, or related field;
  • At least 3 years of professional experience working in the field of obstetrics/ gynecology/ reproductive health, preferably with a focus on cervical cancer prevention;
  • Experience in delivering training and seminars;
  • Excellent analytical and       communication skills;
  • Fluency in Romanian, English will be an advantage.
