Background

UNFPA, with support of Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) is looking for a team of international consultants which will provide supplementary technical assistance on census data cleaning, coding, cartography and dissemination. In this context, UNFPA is looking for the following international consultants:

 

  1. Team Leader (up to 25 w.d.) – to coordinate activity of the International Consultants and to ensure that national statistical institution had all required technical assistance for processing and dissemination of census results properly.
  2. International Consultant on census methodology, cleaning and coding (up to 45 w.d.) – to build capacities of NBS staff in adopting and implementing the international recommendations in the post-census phase, related to census methodology, data cleaning and coding.
  3. International Consultant on census data dissemination (up to 35 w.d.) – to build capacities of NBS staff in implementation of dissemination plan and tools for census results and integration within NBS ICT environment for setting an on-line friendly query system for census data widely available to users.
  4. International Consultant on census cartography (up to 20 w.d.) - to build capacities of NBS staff in geo-processing of census data.

Required experience for each consultancy and detailed Terms of Reference can be found attached. Please take into account that calendar for each assignment and number of missions could be refined in agreement with NBS and UNFPA, depending on work progress and other dependent activities.

Interested candidates must submit in English the following documents/information to demonstrate their qualifications:

  • Cover Letter, explaining why they are the most suitable for the work;

  • Financial proposal (in USD) specifying fee per day.

  • P11 including past experience in similar assignments and at least 3 references.
