Overview:

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) Mission to Moldova invites interested eligible Suppliers to submit Quotations for the supply and delivery of 6 (six) floating docks.

 In the framework of the European Union-funded project EU 4 Border Security”, the IOM invites interested eligible Suppliers to submit Quotations for the supply and delivery of 6 (six) floating docks.

For more details, please refer to the attached Request for Quotations (RFQ) and General Instruction to Suppliers (GIS) which include Technical Specifications as well as all quotation documents required for the submission of offers.   

Dully signed quotations shall be submitted by e-mail at vpanfilii@iom.int, cc nbalan@iom.int on or before 23 November 2020, 23:59 (GMT+2:00). Quotations received after the submission deadline will not be considered. N.B. 

As a result of request for clarifications, following technical specifications has been added to the requirements for supply and delivery of floating docks:

  1. Floating dock’s draft (hull) shall be 18-35 cm.
  2. The length of the access bridge shall be 4 meters.
  3. The rise and drop of water level at the place of dock’s installation is about 1 meter during favorable meteo conditions and about 3 meters during unfavorable meteo conditions.

N.B. as of 9.11.2020

” -The minimal depth of the river at the distance of 1 meter from the bank is 0,3m.

- Estimative depth of the river at the distance of 3 meters from the bank (the place for mooring) is 0,5-0,8m.

- Estimative depth of the river at the distance of 10 meters from the bank (the place of eventual anchoring) is 1,5 – 2m.

- Estimative dimensions of the boats moored to the pontoons: overall lenth – up to 6 m, overall beam – 2,5 m, Dry weight – up to 680 kg.

- Minimal height of the pontoon deck above water – 0,4m.

- The pontoons shall withstand about 150-200 kg/m2.

- Pontoons will be disassembled in winter time.

- The access to the places of pontoon installation is limited. All road trucks and light transport trucks have good access. Heavy transport trucks and cranes have no access.”

As a result of request for clarifications, following technical specifications has been added to the requirements for supply and delivery of floating docks:

  1. The width of the access bridge shall be 1 - 1,3 m.
  2. The access bridge shall be equipped with safety railing.
  3. Floating docks shall have a T-shape form (consisting of a pontoon and access bridge).
  4. Floating docks (including the access bridge) shall be covered with plastic or adapted wooden flooring resistant to oil, lubricants, paint, sunlight, bad weather
