Purpose:
The purpose of the assignment is to perform an environmental scanning in the Republic of Moldova for the development of targeted interventions on HIV prevention among truck drivers as clients of sex workers. The environmental scanning will consist of but not limited to: information about past and current initiatives for truck drivers in Moldova, specific statistics related to truck drivers, truck drivers associations, education programme for truck drivers, etc. The results of the environmental scanning will feed at a later stage into the conduction of a KABP study among truck drivers and the results of the KABP study will be used for advocacy purposes among key stakeholders (government, NGOs, trade unions, etc) and for the development of targeted interventions for truck drivers.
